    CPE seminars, workshops and events are offered to extend your knowledge, training and skills and to enhance your professional networking and collaboration with colleagues. Booking details for monthly seminars and events are posted as early as possible prior to the event.

    AN ANNUAL EMPLOYMENT WORKSHOP ON FINDING JOBS is held in September of each year

    This annual seminar by Dr Barbara Meddin is aimed at graduating social workers applying for professional positions and includes:

    • preparation of a resume;
    • addressing selection; and
    • preparation for the interview.

    Attendees are provided with an information workbook. Follow up assistance is also offered.

    Previous CPE Event: Enhancing Practice

    For social workers across career levels, workplaces & areas of practice this seminar aimed to:

    • consider the knowledge, skills & resources which underlie what social workers do;
    • articulate what social work is about & the roles of social workers;
    • identify key aspects of the practice standards in direct practice;
    • provide hands-on exercises to apply the practice standards to everyday work situations; and
    • assist learning on how to measure effectiveness of social work practice in the workplace.
